The Zen of Tamagotchi

"But wouldn't you want to win?" the children asked me.

"Win what?" I said.

"The raffle!"

"Well... I suppose it depends on what I would be winning. I like to be given things I can use," I said.

"Hmmm," said Trinidad. "I know what you mean. Once I entered a raffle with my Tamagotchi (hand-held computer pet -- so long, Waldorf), and I got very excited when we won. Then I saw the prize: five poops and a snake that bites."

Yep.

Hey girl,

You get any funnier and I'll split my sides. I've always been of the kid faction who said, "well, money is a good gift" since most everyone wanted to get me something I would NOT use.

But one year my dad sent my mom for xmas (before they got back together) 14 light bulbs and 18 rolls of toilet paper. She had been so excited about this big huge box that she had to open it first. We about died laughing. Now that's practical....
