What have I got in my pockets?
A bean.
A stone.
A broken rubberband.
The clouds sweep cirrus into blue.
My other pocket yields:
a list of building supplies,
a broken dog cookie, and
a nickel.
The compost pile awaits its turning
as I stir goats milk and honey into Mate.

I feel irritated that I cannot format this poem with the spacing I would like, nor can I spell Mate (ergh!) correctly without the accent. That aside, the poem authentically reflects the climax of my day. :)
I love poems that evoke a feeling complete with vivid imagery. Thanks for sharing.
Hey girl,
Yeah, blogs don't leave you much in the way of creative spacing... But you've still got clouds in your pockets...
Speaking of, how's the house? Chaos in my world, ask Seda for an update.
love and hugs,

Kristin, I love reading your blog---I met you at the parenting from your heart workshops that you did in pdx las spring...
I tought I would share with you how to do the accents:
here there are:
á: atl 160
é: alt 130
í: alt 161
ó: alt 162
ú: alt 163
just in case you find yourself ever needing some of those accented words in spanish!
besos!
ximena
Thank you so much, Ximena! I'm glad to hear the blog is a contribution:). I was so excited to get that info. on the accents, and I tried to fix the post immediately. No luck. Either Blogger is not privy or I am unlucky or uncoordinated. I held down the Alt. key while typing 130 -- is that right? Maybe it will work in Word, but the spacing doesn't translate to Blogger either, so I'm not surprised....
Nice to hear from you!
Kristin
